Speed Limits on Chandigarh Roads

In the interests of public safety and convenience, Speed limits for different classes of motor vehicles on different roads of the city have been notified by the Chandigarh Administration vide No.2/3/57-H-III(7)-2021/4375 dated 20.04.2021, under Sub-Section (2) of section 112 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1998) and in supersession of earlier notification issued by the Home Department, Chandigarh Administration vide No.2/3/57-HIII(7)-2013/10919 dated 01.06.2013.

Note: - As per the notification, a 5% buffer is given before cognizance of the speed limit violation is taken.
